Next Doug went into the Pro Mod Class with a boat called "Thunder Chicken" and won 2002-2005 SDBA High Points Champion, 2003-2005 Blown Boat Of The Year, and 2003 IHBA Division 2 Champion. Then Doug moved up to Top Fuel Hydro with a boat called "Nito Chicken" This boat has been his dream and Nitro Chicken has already won the IHBA National World Finals in Phoenix, Arizona in 2005 and just recently in 2006, Nitro Chicken wins the top fuel championship at Oklahoma City and sets a new SDBA MPH record with 257.88 MPH with an E.T. of 4.68.
